At Sunset Hills, we believe in the power of music to lift us up and enhance our worship experience. We have several music groups, including the Chancel Choir, Bell Choir, and Children's Choir, in addition to occasionally hosting other musicians and our church-grown musical group, GPM.

Participants from all over the country were given the opportunity to participate in a virtual Easter concert which was coordinated by Joseph Martin.  Members of SHUP's choir sung the original piece, "Great Day, The Lord Has Risen" along with over one hundred other people!

Our Campanile Bell Choir is comprised of teens and adults, playing 5 octaves of White Chapel and Schulmerich handbells.  The bell choir plays throughout the year during worship and also participates in the Western PA Handbell Festival held in April every year.

This group of guys (and occasionally some gals), accompanied by guitar, bass, piano, and percussion has fun learning not just sacred music, but secular music as well.  They sing for worship, occasionally, as well as other events throughout the year, including our Harvest and Food Truck Festivals.

Other Musicians

Throughout the summer, the Chancel Choir takes a break, and many members and friends of Sunset Hills provide worship music.  Our Men’s and Ladies’ Choruses consist of any males or females who wish to practice one week to sing for one service.  The Choirmen is made up of the men who normally sing in the Chancel Choir, and they particularly enjoy Gospel music!  We also have many talented men, women, and teenagers who play instruments or sing solos, duets, or ensembles. Volunteers welcome!
