We maintain the belief that children learn about their world through play and discovery. Our trained teachers provide a safe learning environment where children are given the opportunity to wonder and learn about the world they live in. They are encouraged to discover new things and to see where their imagination can take them through music, art, science, and play. There are no limits to what a young child can learn when they are encouraged to ask questions and to investigate their answers. Classes are available for children 2-5 years of age.

At Sunset Hills, we believe in the power of music to lift us up and enhance our worship experience. We have several music groups, including the Chancel Choir, Bell Choir, in addition to occasionally hosting other musicians and our church-grown musical group, GPM.

Music Groups
Chancel Choir
SHUP's Chancel Choir is made up of approximately 25 men and women. They sing a variety of music for worship every Sunday, as well as for special services throughout the year.

Bell Choir
Our Campanile Bell Choir is compromised of 10-12 adults, playing 5 octaves of White Chapel and Schulmerich handbells. The bell choir plays throughout the year during worship and also participates in the Western PA Handbell Festival held in April every year.

GPM
This group of guys (and occasionally some gals), accompanied by guitar, bass, piano, and percussion has fun learning not just sacred music, but secular music as well. They sing for worship, occasionally, as well as other events throughout the year, including our Harvest and Food Truck Festivals.
Other Musicians
Throughout the summer, the Chancel Choir takes a break, and many members and friends of Sunset Hills provide worship music. Our Men’s and Ladies’ Choruses consist of any males or females who wish to practice one week to sing for one service. The Choirmen is made up of the men who normally sing in the Chancel Choir, and they particularly enjoy Gospel music! We also have many talented men, women, and teenagers who play instruments or sing solos, duets, or ensembles. Volunteers welcome!
