Sunset Hills

Sunset Hills United Presbyterian Church is your neighborhood church! Our goal is to glorify God by reaching out, nurturing, and serving with Christ's love.  There are an average of 85 individuals in worship each Sunday morning at 10:15 a.m. Our service is inter-generational, with a traditional feel in a laid-back community of friends.  Beyond worship, more than three-quarters of our congregation is active in music ministries, mission service, or Bible study. Everyone stays following worship for our time of conversation and snacks downstairs.  Sunset Hills is not just a place to worship Jesus - it's a place to be with His people!

 

We have served the Sunset Hills neighborhood and Mt. Lebanon community for more than eighty years. The choir has been a steady presence over the years with a present total of more than 20 members, and more than 10 bell choir members. Their music inspires us every week!  

 

Our pastor, the Rev. Laura Strauss, is leading us into the future with a focus on serving others, serving the world, and providing uplifting Sunday messages that impact our real day-to-day life. Her imagination, warmth, and love for the church are reflected in her leadership. Our Christian Education Director, Taylor Strang, provides enthusiasm, energy, and creativity as she leads our church’s children and youth.  She always has brilliant ideas to stir our faith.
