Weekday Bible Studies

Findley Hall Bible Study Monday, 12:30 pm.

We will start off the new year with our January 6th, 2020 class.  We will begin a 6-week study of "Making Your Case for Christ."  This is a continuation of a previous study by Lee Strobel called, "The Case for Christ."  Using clips from the movie of that name, Lee presents the evidence that backs up Jesus' claims and credentials in a new way.

As Lent approaches, "The Easter Experience" by Kyle Idleman brings the passion and resurrection of Jesus to life through cinema clips and interactive dramatic story telling.   We viewers are invited to think and feel how these events affect us today.

Then Andy Stanley returns with "Irresistible," a 6-week study.  Once upon a time there was a version of our faith that was practically irresistible.  What makes that message so compelling, so defensible, so irresistible?  Andy leads us to explore reclaiming the news that Jesus unleashed for the world and emphasizes how Jesus' arrival signaled that the Old Testament was fulfilled and its laws reduced to a single verb - love - to be applied to God, neighbor and everyone.  We need to recover what once made faith in Jesus irresistible to the world.

We will finish the season with "Holy Roar."  Christ Tomlin, well known author, worship leader and composer of "How Great is Our God," among many others, shares his music and insights with us as pastor Darren Whitehead encourages us to deepen our faith and praise by uncovering the true meaning behind the 7 Hebrew words that are translated into the English word "praise."

All are welcome, contact Evelyn Lape if you are interested in joining us.

Wilson Hall Bible Study Tuesday, 1:00 pm.

The Wilson Hall Bible Study will resume on September 10th   We will be studying the book of HEBREWS using a study guide by John MacArthur.  Hebrews is a masterful document written to Jews who were evaluating Jesus and struggling with his new faith.

The message of HEBREWS is that Jesus is better, Christianity is superior, CHRIST is supreme and completely sufficient for salvation.
