Weekday Bible Studies
Findley Hall Bible Study Monday, 12:30p.m.
Our Findley Hall Bible Study Class will resume Monday, January 8, 2018, at 12:30 p.m. using the DVD, “The Gospel of Mark,” by Lisa Harper. Lisa is featured on the national Women of Faith tour and speaks at many other large multi-denominational events. She’s written 11 books and has been on numerous radio and television programs and has been described as a theological scholar and hilarious storyteller in the same sentence. This is a seven-week class, which looks closely at the Book of Mark, and as Lisa puts it, “Let’s make a pact that our study of Mark is going to be a safe place to engage with God.”
Following that series, we will study “The Daniel Prayer,” a DVD study with Ann Graham Lotz, called the best preacher in the family by her father, Billy Graham. She has also been named one of the five most influential evangelists of her generation. In this six-week study, Anne looks at the life of Daniel, and following the example of his original prayer, she helps us develop a more meaningful and powerful prayer life.
Then we will study “How to Have a Healthy Soul,” by Judah Smith. Judah is the lead pastor of the City Church in Seattle, Washington and is known around the United States and the world for his preaching ministry. Of this DVD Study he says, “This is an invitation through Bible exploration, to find lasting satisfaction by bringing your feelings into alignment with God’s truth, learning how to live each day with eternal significance.”
All are invited to join us. Contact Evelyn Lape for more information.
